PLEASE NOTE: BEGINNING JANUARY 1ST, 2018 MONTANA RAISED IT'S REGISTRATION AND RENEWAL FEES

Vehicles with an MSRP over $150,000
will be assessed an additional fee of $825.00!

Passenger Cars, Light Weight Trucks*, SUV’s Base Registration Fees

New to four years old $290.73.

Five to nine years old $156.83.

Ten years old or older $ 96.06

Eleven years or older can be Permanently Registered for $157.35.

An additional $8 fee is charged if a lien is filed on a Montana Registration.

*Light trucks, one ton or less, have an additional fee, based on the Gross Vehicle Weight between $7.21 and $18.03.

 

Heavyweight vehicles (over 1 Ton) Registration Fees

Montana charges a flat fee for the vehicle age and size; in addition a variable fee is charged based on the GVW. Call our office for more information.

 

Motorhomes with an MSRP over $300,000
will be assessed an additional fee of $800.00!

Motor Home Registration Fees

Montana charges a flat fee for registration of motor homes based upon the age of the vehicle. Registration ranges from $355.02 for Brand New to $303.61 Eleven years and older for Permanent registration.

Camper Trailer Registration Fees

Montana charges a one-time permanent registration for Camper Trailers and 5th Wheels.

Camper Trailers or 5th Wheels 16 feet or more $215.54.

 

ATV and Motorcycle Registration Fees

Montana charges a one-time permanent fee for any Street Legal Motorcycle and a one-time permanent fee for all Off-Road ATV's.

ATV Street Legal $190.31.
Motorcycle Street Legal $127.22.
ATV Off-Road Only $116.92.

 

Boats & Personal Water Craft (Jet Skis)

Montana charges a one-time permanent registration for Boats based on Length.

Boats under 16 feet and Jet Skis $122.84.
Boats 16 feet to under 19 feet $164.56.
Boats 19 feet and longer $339.66.

 

Cargo and Utility Trailers Registration Fees

Montana charges a Flat Fee for registration of Cargo and Utility Trailers based on Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). This registration is a one-time permanent registration.

Cargo or Utility Trailer with a GVW up to 6000 lbs. $122.07.
Cargo or Utility Trailer with a GVW greater than 6000 lbs. $208.59.
